Our Coaches
Our own coaching teams in Niseko, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, teaching in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
Plume Ridge coaches are based in Niseko, Hokkaido, and in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and teach skiing and snowboarding in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Below are each coach's years of teaching, certifications and competition record.

Our own coaches are based in Niseko all season and teach our Japan private lessons and the lessons on our Niseko concierge trips.

Meet the coaches

Lexi Tuan
Founder
Has taught in Niseko, Hokkaido, since 2017. CASI Snowboard Level 3, CASI Park Level 1, NZSIA Ski Level 1 and a Level 2 avalanche safety certificate. Former assistant coach of China's Olympic snowboard cross youth development team, and a Freeride World Tour Qualifier competitor.

Song Junliang "Xiaofengzi"
8 years teaching
Runs our instructor certification training from beginner to advanced levels, focusing on technique, safety and teaching methods so trainee instructors can handle any snow conditions.

Zhang Yan
8 years teaching
The first Chinese national to earn CASI Level 3, and a translator of CASI teaching videos.

Booklin
5 years teaching
Has judged national ground-trick competitions many times, and holds Japanese ski and snowboard professional qualifications, several technical certifications and a Level 2 instructor qualification.

Bingbing
4 years teaching
Women's champion at the CGO China ground-trick competition and fifth in the women's division at a competition in Japan. Qualified JSTAA freestyle technical instructor.

Ghost
4 years teaching
Top 12 at the Jiangjunshan leg of the national ground-trick championship. Competed in the SNOWLABLE qualifiers in Japan and finished sixth in the E-generation OWEN ONLINE BATTLE.

Wukong
4 years teaching
Men's champion at the national snowboard ground-trick open and winner of the national ski resort alliance's ice and snow cup. Sixth at the CGO China ground-trick competition and sixth in the men's division at a ground-style competition in Japan.

Ben Cao
5 years teaching
Has taught as a CASI Level 1 and CSIA Level 1 instructor and competed in several events. Also qualified to coach under-18 skiers, with a focus on safety and technique.

Liu Baiqi "Qizai"
2 years teaching
Has taught for ski companies and schools, and takes students to resorts such as Jiangjunshan to practise on real snow.

David Liang
2 years teaching
CASI Level 1 and a Chinese national ski instructor qualification. Focuses on teaching beginners.

Yu Yifeng "Xiaoyu"
5 years teaching
CASI Level 1 and CSIA Level 1. Focuses on safety and technique.

Wu Wenjian "Panda"
4 years teaching
Holds an international ski instructor qualification. Focuses on safety and technical training, and teaches beginners and children.

Yang Huanji "Daodaoba"
2 years teaching
NZSIA Level 1. Believes every student needs a different approach.
